ISTE Standard Three: Model Digital Age Work and Learning

Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.

a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.
b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation.
c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using  a variety of digital age media and formats.
d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.

This artificat is a great representation of this standard. By testing out differnent technological tools, seeing how they can be used in the classroom, and then reviewing them, it shows a direct link to my ability to exhibit the knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional. I find it odd that almost all public high schools on island have an ESLR designated for the use of technology, but there is very little practice and application being done. With the changing times, I feel that it is very important to expose our students to technology and give them the knowledge they need to be able to utilize this technology to help them develop themselves academically.
